M08 is the dining chair for not only dining room at home but also commercial places such as cafe or restaurants. The main concept of its design is to use two different materials -wood and plastic- to maintain the price range, as well as the aesthetic effects.

 

 

After proposing several designs, the sketches above were the selected design that has two backrest and upholstery options.

 

Based on the sketches, I made a 1:1 scale mock-up to verify the scale, sitting posture, and usability.

 

 

Chinese engineers worked with me to produce this chair. I delivered a very precise engineering plan and technics to share with them.

After several pilot production, M08 was exhibited in China International Furniture Fair 2012 through Sdawi, the partner company.
